Undersea Tonga Volcano Erupts

On March 18, an undersea volcano erupted off the coast of Tonga shooting clouds of smoke, steam and ash thousands of feet into the sky above the South Pacific ocean. This is very scary! But, thanks God, the geologists said there was no apparent danger to residents of Nuku’alofa and others living on the main island of Tongatapu.

Flying Without Wings

During lunch break, I went in to the break room in my office where there was a flat LCD hanging on the wall. I saw an interesting news about the space shuttle.  The camera discovered a “bat” clinging on the foam of the external tank of the space shuttle moments before the launch. spacebat.jpg

I’m not sure how in the world NASA would see that??? The news reported that NASA officials had hoped the bat would fly away on its own. They, however, admitted that the bat probably would die during the ignition. Awww..www

In addition to this weird news, NASA brought this video clip to a wildlife expert and ask for opinion about it. The expert said it appeared to be  free-tailed bat that probably had a broken left wing and an injured right shoulder or wrist. OKKK? Awww poor bat… He’s just want a ride to the space.. that’s all! LOL

Barbie’s Birthday

I would never think that a barbie doll has a birthday!! I came across to read an interesting news about the barbie from New York (AFP) via Google. Yesterday, March 9th, Barbie walked on pink carpet to celebrate her 50th birthday. She celebrated with a 2.1 meter high ‘Barbie doll’ chocolate mud cake.

French pastry chef Jean-Michel Raynaud unveils a Barbie doll cake.

Gunman in South Alabama

Ahh… I’m in south Alabama too, but NO… it didn’t happen in my town, Mobile. According to the news, gun man shot 9 people in Samson, AL (near border line between AL and FL). This is such a horrible news. He burned down his mother’s house and killed members of his family. He drove to at least four different locations. It’s been claimed that he tried to clean his family out – granny, granddaddy, aunt, and uncle!! It’s still under investigation. You can read the details from Yahoo.

Daylight Saving 2009

I totally forgot abou the new rules in the US that has been applied since 2007. The rule states that the daylight saving begins at 2:00 a.m. local time on the second Sunday in March. On the first Sunday in November areas on Daylight Saving Time return to Standard Time at 2:00 a.m. During Daylight Saving Time turn your clocks ahead one hour. At the end of Daylight Saving Time turn your clocks back one hour.

So, in 2009, the daylight saving begins March 8.

Arghh… I lost one sleeping hour!!

If you are a webmaster, please be careful with a new worm!!

Don’t forget to check your website as often as possible. There is some weird JavaScript embedded to your Index.php (in the Body of the web page). Like 7Speed.info, it secretly sends out some information to 9sense.info website. You have to observe it from the status bar at the bottom of your browser when you are opening the index page. I’m not sure who’s possibly can interfere the FTP process when you are transferring the file.

I have to deal with this problem every 2-3 weeks. This is ridiculous! I have to spent time to re-upload my files. I hope there is some better solution to block the hacking. So.. just be careful when you transfer your files.

Wario Land: Shake It

P’ Jocho sent me a link to a demo of Wario Land Wii Game, hosted on YouTube website. It’s very very cool and interesting. You will see your browser start to shake and fall down. You can use your mouse and shake or move all the blocks or objects on your screen. Play with it and you will love it!!

Giant Rat

OK. This is another grossed story I have found on BoingBoing website. The news reported that

the six-pound rat was caught by a Chinese man, named Xian, at the weekend in a residential area of Fuzhou, a city of six million people on China’s south coast.

It is claimed that the rat s a Baboo rat which is normally can grow up to eight pounds. Ewww..www.

The report also mentioned that baboo rat meat has been selling in the market too… WOWW!

Be Grossed Or Be Proud

Vee, my friend from Chicago, sent me the news about the world’s longest ear hair. Radhakant Baijpa has grown his ear hair because he believes it’s a symbol of luck and wealthy. He’s proud to beat the record in the Guinness book as well. I’m not sure this is what he should have been proud of. This is rather to gross people out!  Ewww…ww..

Special Thanks to Vee for sending some interesting news.
