The newly discovered dinosaur Anchiornis huxleyi, shown in an artist’s reconstruction below, is the oldest known bird-like dinosaur.
Scientists in China have discovered the oldest dinosaur that had feathers. Thought to be between 1 to 11 million years older than the first known bird, the dinosaur, named Anchiornis huxley, was about 28 centimeters tall at its hip.
OMG… I’ve never thought I would see things like this on the news. At first I thought it was a joke, but no.. it was real. Sydney’s Sky turned red due to the dust storm in the early morning and became orange when the sun started to rise.
Here is some fact behind the incident.
Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Jane Golding says that the color comes from an exorbitant amount of dust that has collected in the area, saying:
“The reason for the dust is we had some really strong winds in the inland areas of NSW and in South Australia for a sustained period yesterday. That’s lifted a whole lot of dust off the ground because it’s quite dry out there, many of those areas are still drought affected…I’ve not seen anything like this before.”
She also pointed out that the reddish haze is expected to fade as the sun gets higher in the sky, changing from “a crimson red to orange by about 7am.”

A HOT MESS!! …. It’s been confirmed that Jaebeom, the leader of 2PM, has quit and left 2PM due to his MySpace controversy on Sept. 5th. He has released applogy statement, but it seems like Korean fans/netizen are still mad and pressure him to quit. And… he did it … he left Korea yesterday (Sep. 8th) according to this petition http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/jaypark2pm
Wow…everything is happening so quickly…
“Hello, I’m 2PM’s Jaebeom.
I’m sorry for giving you my last greeting through this letter.
I think it will be hard for me to see you all on stage because of my sorry heart.
I’m really sorry to everyone, and I’m even more sorry to the fans who have shown me love.
From today, I will leave 2PM.
2PM boys, I’m really sorry to the boys and I’m sorry I couldn’t be strong as a leader and a hyung and have to leave like this.
However, I hope you will be more cool and charming.
Again, I’m sorry.

ABC News has reported that the American Heart Association (AHA) wants the average American to cut down sugar. Under new recommendations the AHA advises women eat no more than about six teaspoons every day in added sugars and men eat no more than 10 teaspoons
Despite those arrays of pink, blue and yellow packets of sugar substitutes, the average American eats 19 percent more sugar today than in 1970. If Americans followed the guidelines, the average person would cut their added sugar consumption by more than 70 percent.

Karen Osborn, from the University of California San Diego, told BBC News that she and her colleagues found the worms accidentally, whilst exploring the deep oceans with remotely operated submersible vehicles. The team found them whilst exploring the waters just above the sea-bed off the west coast of the US. They were exploring depths of up to 3,700m when they spotted the creatures.
The interesting parts of the discovery were that each of the seven species was transparent, produced colourful bioluminescence, and released the glowing bombs, which probably serve to distract predators while the worm escapes. The team has named the first of these species Swima bombiviridis.

Those nasty bloggers and the Internet users who like to post offensive and nasty comments online need to be more careful. They could be unmasked easily and pressed charges.
According to the recent Liskula Cohan’s lawsuit case in NYC, the judge ordered Google company to reveal the blogger’s name who attacked Liskula, a model (Vogue cover girl) working in NYC, with nasty comments and rumors. At first, she has contacted Google for assistance to unmask the blogger, but Google denied revealing the blogger’s real name. Cohan filed a lawsuit against Google. Jury ended up ordering Google to provide Cohan with the IP address and the blogger’s profile from Blogger.com.
For those who think they can write anything underneath user-names or anonymous users, they need to wake up and pay more attention. Yes.. you have rights to write anything, but it does not mean that you can harass somebody because of that. I guess the judge and jury realized that written words should be as substantial as spoken words are. Harassing someone by writing a blog should be punished as same as harassing someone with spoken words. Expressing your thoughts and ideas on your blog is different story from writing trash about somebody and share it online!!
Whew.. I’m so glad that I have made the right decision for not buying Sony Playstation 3. The rumors have been floating around for the past few months about the PS3 price would cut down and the newer and slimer PS3 would be released soon.
Finally, the rumors have become true. Sony will release the new model of PS3 in September. The price for previous model of PS3 will be lowered by $100. The news also reported that Sony introduced the PS3 Slim Tuesday at the GamesCom conference in Germany. The new model, scheduled for release in the first week of September, has the same features as the older versions, but takes up 33% less space and consumes 34% less power, according to Sony. It’ll be out in the first week of September (September 1 in North America and Europe, September 3 for Japan), and will retail for $300 (or 300 Euro, or 29,980 Yen). It’s smaller and lighter, has a 120GB HDD, and packs “all the same features” of the regular PS3.
