No More Famous Salesman on TV

I just learned that the guy whom I have seen VERY OFTEN on the commercials to sell all kinds of products which he was salesmen for just passed away.

I’ve seen him for years but never known his name until now. His name is Billy Mays. He was funny but good on the commercials. The most notable commercial he did probably is for OxiClean.

On June 29, after an initial autopsy on Mays’ body, Dr. Vernard Adams, the Hillsborough County, Florida medical examiner, stated that Mays suffered from hypertensive heart disease and that heart disease was the likely cause of his death. However, a final determination as to the cause of death would not be made until toxicology and tissue tests were complete.

RIP .. Billy Mays.. You can sell anything!

“Tokidoki” means “sometimes” in Japanese, and also refers to the Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand created in 2005 by Italian artist Simone Legno and his business partners Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold (Source: Wiki).

Tokidoki Characters

Tokidoki has produced so many things, such as toys, accessories, footwear, clothes, etc. Why has it become so popular? I think it’s because of his unique creativity inspired by street lifestyle and fashion and combined with Japanese illustration influences. Each character has his/her own personality and vivid colors.

Many companies have been collaborating with Tokidoki to produce special collections, such as Onitsuka Tiger shoes, Hello Kitty, Le Sportsac, etc. They are son pricey, but ADORABLE and COLLECTABLE!!

I totally forgot abou the new rules in the US that has been applied since 2007. The rule states that the daylight saving begins at 2:00 a.m. local time on the second Sunday in March. On the first Sunday in November areas on Daylight Saving Time return to Standard Time at 2:00 a.m. During Daylight Saving Time turn your clocks ahead one hour. At the end of Daylight Saving Time turn your clocks back one hour.

So, in 2009, the daylight saving begins March 8.
