Monster Ike

Pictures below are from Most Emailed Photos, Yahoo.com. These pictures are IKE’s aftermath. Pretty amazing, isn’t it?

Fish remain stuck in a fence as flood waters caused by Hurricane Ike recede, in West Orange, Texas, Monday, Sept. 15, 2008.

People look over the wreck of a wooden ship uncovered by Hurricane Ike on a beach on Fort Morgan Road in Fort Morgan, Ala., Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008. Archeologists say the wreck could be that of a two-masted Civil War schooner that ran aground in 1862 or another ship from some 70 years later. The wreck had already been partially uncovered when Hurricane Camille cleared away sand in 1969. Researchers at the time identified it as the Monticello, a battleship that partially burned when it crashed trying to get past the U.S. Navy and into Mobile Bay during the Civil War

A beachfront home stands among the debris in Gilchrist, Texas on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 after Hurricane Ike hit the area. Ike was the first major storm to directly hit a major U.S. metro area since Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in 2005.

Azalea Flower

by

I would say azalea plants are pretty much local/native plants in Mobile, AL. Every house has to have azalea plants. It looks very similar to one of Thai flower, called “Cha-ba”. They are flowering as shrubs.

My house has the shocking pink color azalea flowers which start to bloom for the second time in this year (the first time they bloomed in early spring when I just moved in to the house). I have about four of them planted on the side of house.

Based on Wiki website, several commercial nurseries in Mobile, AL, are major national suppliers of azaleas in the U.S.

The Beginning of Gustav

by

This is just the beginning….

My house is right at the “Tilmans Corner.”, on I-10. It wasn’t that bad YET…

The Hurricance Gustav is moving toward New Orleans. Hopefully, it will not affect my area as much as I thought at first. :-?

Photoshopped or Not?

by

This is a breaking news about a photo showing that a shark was jumping behind surfers. The photo was taken by Kem McNair.

What do you think? Is it real?

The answer is YESSS… It’s RIGID!

The photographer snapped this picture at New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The expert said this type of shark has been known to jump and spin in the air, so this photo is likely a real one. CNN reporter even interviewed the witness and photographer, Kem McNair, to confirm the story.

You can watch the clip here

Enzo Met Bunny Girl

by

I guess this is the third time that the Bunny paid a visit and flirted with Enzo. She’s a sexy girl next door — just like the reality show, “Girls Next Door “, on the E! channel… ha ha ha

She was in my neighbor’s backyard (right next to my backyard) and having a dinner meal. She normally came in the evening. This time she was very friendly and flirty to us. She even push her face through our fence and blew a few KISSES…. Muah! Muah! HA HA HA!

Enzo and I didn’t scare her off a bit. Of course, we had to give her some tips (cabbage) so that she would danced (hopped) around and do a nice show for us. She hopped around and came to my front porch too as if she were on the front stage show or something. How neat was that!!

Kiss Kiss!

What do you think about Enzo’s new friend, Bunny Girl? Or, Do you like Ninja Turtle better?

Do you know why “Bunny” has been chosed to be Playboy’s mascot/icon? The answer is… bunnies represent flirty, and playful — just like the way she blew kisses to Enzo and I. I’m also used to heard that bunnies have sex a lot!! That might be another reason for being playboy’s mascot too!

However, for Thai people, a bunny represents someone who is easily get excited – reacting to something  or a situation when not thinking thoroughly (umm NO…not easily get excited because getting aroused in the sexual way!!).

ToyWatch

by

The other day Kris, my long-time friend, asked me if I’d ever heard about “Toy Watch.” Nope, I had no idea what it was. Kris just came back to the US from visiting his family and friends in Bangkok. He said Toy Watch is getting more popular. It was so expensive though it was made of plastic. He added that the Central Department stores have been selling Toy Watch for more than 10K Bahts. He saw these watches being sold in the US at the high-end department stores ranging between 150-300 dollars. At that moment, I felt like with that price per se, they shouldn’t have called it as “Toy” watch. Nevertheless, I love watches, so I can’t help myself but looking for more information about the Toy Watch.

The official ToyWatch Website

Toy Watch or ToyWatch is first introduced in the Fall 2006 by an Italian designer, Marco Mavilla, under the concept of luxurious looking watches with affordable price. Later, ToyWatch has been brought to the US by Randy Gordon, fine-watch collector.

When I saw those watches, I thought like Rolex/Tag Heuer meet Swatch/Casio. Ha Ha Ha…  Do you agree? A lot of ToyWatch’s collections are made of Acrylic (another word of PLASTIC) – the cheapest, but some are made of Plasteramic (Plastic + Ceramic) – more expensive, and Ceramic – the most expensive.

It becomes more popular in Hollywood as well. Madonna, Oprah, Ellen, and other celebrities own one or more!

Do I like any of them? — YES…I think some of them has cool looking, but it’s not like I have to have it NOW.

Am I going to buy one? — No.. for now… hahaha.. Maybe I’ll buy it later if it gets any cheaper, i.e. SALE!

11,111 Monks in China Town, Bangkok

by

I’ve just received an email from a friend of mine, Su. She was forwarding several pictures of 11,111 monks who were participating in celebrating for National Mother’s Day (our Queen’s birthday – 12th August every year). It took place in China Town (called Yow-Wa-Raj) on August 9th.

It’s pretty amazing, isn’t it? OK?? Thai people don’t do something simple. If they really want to take it serious, they’ll do a magnificent work and make sure it’s memorable!! Ha Ha Ha…
