พึ่งไปเขียน blog เกี่ยวกับ Instructional Design ไว้ที่เว็บ gotoknow.org ก็เลยอยากมาโพสต์ในนี้ด้วย ก็เขียนทั่วไปเกี่ยวกับพื้นฐานหลัการของ Instructional Designer

พื้นฐานสำคัญของ Instructional Designer คือต้องมีความเข้าใจว่ามนุษย์คนเรามีการเรียนรู้อย่างไร หรือที่เรียกว่า Human Learning เป็นวิชานึงของด้าน Psychology จะว่าไปแล้ววิชานี้เป็นวิชาหลักเลยก็ว่าได้ทีเดียว เพราะสิ่งที่ำสำคัญที่สุดของการเป็น IDer คือ หาหนทางหรือแนวทางถ่ายทอดความรู้เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนได้จดจำ เข้าใจ และนำความรุ้ไปประยุกต์ใช้ในชีวิตประจำวันได้

เราก็ต้องมาดูกันว่า คนเราสามารถเรียนรู้กันได้อย่างไร นักจิตวิทยา นักวิจัย ได้ทำการทดลองทดสอบมามาก สรุปโดยคร่าวๆ ว่า การเรียนรุ้ของคนเราแ่บ่งได้ 3 วิธีด้วยกัน คือ Behaviorism, Cognitivism และ Constructivism กอล์ฟคงจะไปไม่อธิบายลึก เพราะคิดว่าเป็นพื้นฐานหาอ่านได้ตามหนังสือทั่วไปละ แต่จะขอเขียนถึง การประยุกต์เข้าทาง ID

เมื่อพูดถึง Behaviorism ควรจะนึกถึง Passive learning คือ การเรียนรู้ด้วยวิธีการซึมซับข้อมูล ตัวอย่างคือ อาจารย์เขียนๆๆพูดๆๆ นักเรียนจดๆๆ ฟังๆๆ อย่างเดียว อาจารย์ถ่ายทอด นักเรียนเป็นผู้รับข้อมูลอย่างเดียว

ส่วน Cognitivism กับ Constructivism จะคล้ายกันคือ Active learning ข้อแตกต่างระหว่าง Cognitivism กับ Constructivisim คือ สำหรับ Constructivism ผู้เรียนเอา้ข้อมูลเนื้อหาใหม่ที่ได้รับประยุกต์เข้ากับความรู้และ ประสบการณ์เดิมแล้วสร้าง (keyword นะครับ construct แปลว่าสร้าง) เป็นความรู้ใหม่ที่มีความหมายความเข้าใจของตัวเอง Cognitivism ก็จะเน้นการใช้เทคนิกในการเรียนรู้เพื่อเพิ่มความสามารถการรับรู้ข้อมูลของ สมองคนเรา

Robert Gagne เป็นบุคคลสำหรับในด้าน Instructional Design หลายคนยกให้เป็นเจ้าพ่อ ID เลยก็ว่าได้ ชื่อเขา หลายคนอ่่านผิดกันมากมาย ฝรั่งอ่านว่า “โรเบิร์ต เกนเย” รับรองอ่านตามนี่ไม่ผิดไม่ต้องอายด้วย ฮ่าๆ

คราวนี้ กอล์ฟอยากจะถามผู้อ่านว่า ระบบการศึกษาของไทยเรานั้น เน้นแบบไหนในสามแบบนี้ หรือเป็นแบบผสม และ ก็อยากจะถามว่า แล้วตัวคุณเองล่ะ จากมุมมองผู้เรียนรู้ คุณชอบเรียนรู้ในรูปแบบไหน

นี่เป็นประสบการณ์ และก็ข้อมูลจาก research ที่กอล์ฟศึกษามานะครับ คนอเมริกัน หรือ ฝรั่ง จะเน้น Cognitivism กับ Constructivism เป็นส่วนใหญ่ในการถ่ายทอดความรู้ให้นักเรียน เขาถือว่า การเรียนรู้อะไรก็ตามที่มาจากการค้นพบหรือการมีส่วนร่วมของนักเรียน จะทำให้นักเรียนจดจำได้นานกว่าและเข้าใจถึงการประยุกต์ความรู้ได้ดีกว่า นักเรียนที่นั่งฟัง นั่งจด ไม่มีการโต้ตอบกับครู เขาบอกว่า ครูควรทำหน้าที่แค่ Facilitator or Guide เท่านั้น เพื่อชี้แนะแนวทางการเรียนรู้ ไม่ใช่ Lecturer หรือผู้ที่บอกเลคเชอร์ให้นักเรียนจด

แต่ตรงนี้ต้องระวังนิดนึง สำหรับ Constructivism วิธีนี้จะใช้ประยุกต์ยากหน่อยเพราะว่า structure ของการสอนจะหลวมมากส่วนใหญ่เน้นให้นักเรียนคิดเองทำเอง หากนักเรียนไม่มีความรู้ในเนื้อหานั้นๆ อาจจะทำให้เกิดความสับสนกังวล และอาจจะไม่อยากที่จะรับรู้เนื้อหาเลยก็ได้ ดังนั้น การใช้ Constructivism ต้องขึ้นอยู่กับสถานการณ์ ลักษณะวิชา และนิสัยของผู้เรียน

การเข้าใจ Human Learning กอล์ฟคิดว่าสำคัญมากๆ คุณครูควรถามตัวเองว่าที่นักเรียนสอบตกเพราะอะไร เพราะวิชามันยากไป หรือถ่ายทอดไม่ถูกวิธี ควรลด Passive learning แล้วเน้น Active learning มี research มากมายได้แนะนำ Activity ต่างๆที่สามารถใช้ในห้องเรียน หรือ Training ทั่วไปได้ คุณครูควรเปิดกว้างในการนำเสนอเนื้อหา ไม่ควรปิดกั้นตัวเอง แล้วหยุดอยู่แค่ PowerPoint Lecture

ส่วนตัวนักเรียนเองก็เช่นกัน ควรทำความเข้าใจกับตัวเองว่า ตัวเองเป็นคนที่เรียนรู้แบบไหนได้ดี มี Cognitive Learning Strategies มากมายที่นักเรียนสามารถเอามาใช้ เพื่อช่วยให้จดจำเนื้อหาบทเรียนได้เร็วขึ้น จำได้นานขึ้น แล้วเอาไปประยุกต์ใช้งานได้ ไม่ควรท่องเป็นนกแก้วนกขุนทอง ตัวอย่าง cognitive strategy ที่เราเห็นบ่อยกันมากที่สุดคงจะเป็น การขีดเส้นใต้ เน้นข้อความสำคัญ นอกจากนี้ นักเรียนบางคน เอาจจะเอาเนื้อหามาแต่งเป็นกลอน เป็นเพลง เพื่อให้จำข้อมูลได้ดีขึ้น ก็ได้ หรือ จะวาดภาพ diagram, chart ก็ช่วยอธิบาย concept ได้ด้วยเช่นกัน การเขียนบทสรุปบทเรียน ก็เป็นอีกวีธีนึง เห็นไหมครับ มี cognitive learning strategy มากมาย

ไว้จะหยิบยก theory หรือไม่ก็ นักวิจัย Theorist ชื่่อดังในด้าน Instructional Designer ให้ได้รู้จักกันว่าเราสามารถนำ theory ต่างๆไปประยุกต์ในด้าน Instructional Designer ได้อย่างไร

I believed that I never posted pictures of the red and white lilies blooming in my backyard. It happened like a few months ago. I went through My Pictures folder, and thought that I should share pictures of them. They are so surreal.. I mean I would never thought I would be able to have these kinds of flower in my garden. Well.. I’m not sure it is cheating or not because I didn’t plant them, but I did water them though

I learned in hard way that I shouldn’t have waited for fully blooming flowers and then cut them. I should have cut them right before they were about to bloom.  This way, the flowers will beautifully bloom in the vase! However, I was still managed to have them bloom successfully in my vase. I think I probably did not have a chance to take pictures of the red lilies… I cannot find any picture of them…too bad

Whoo hoo… this is the second blooming for Escobaria Minima or Nelie Cory.  According to the desert-tropical, Escobaria Minima grows in desert grassland and is restricted to the Caballos Novaculite Formation. So, it’s originally from Texas!

I’m so happy to see it’s blooming again because some of my cacti look like they are dying … hahaha!

I would say azalea plants are pretty much local/native plants in Mobile, AL. Every house has to have azalea plants. It looks very similar to one of Thai flower, called “Cha-ba”. They are flowering as shrubs.

My house has the shocking pink color azalea flowers which start to bloom for the second time in this year (the first time they bloomed in early spring when I just moved in to the house). I have about four of them planted on the side of house.

Based on Wiki website, several commercial nurseries in Mobile, AL, are major national suppliers of azaleas in the U.S.

These flowers are the most recently bloomed. The flowers are not big. They are red/orange looking. My guess would be “Bird of Paradise”?? I could be wrong… Anyhow, I thought it would look cool in the white cylinder vase sitting on the bookshelf. Take a look..

What do you think? Are they “Birds of Paradise”?

My professor, Dr. Litchfield, gave me four of gardenia plants in one-gallon pot each. They are about 1 foot tall. She said the flowers produce very good smell. They are medium bush size and nice for the garden. Since I still have space in the backyard garden, gardenia plants are going to be nice addition to fill up those empty area. She tried to explain to me what gardenia looks like, but I wasn’t sure if I ever saw it. Well, I have heard about the name though. So, I “googled” it to see what they are going to look like when they bloom.

Can’t wait to see all of them bloom!

เย้ๆ ต้นไฮเดรนเยียร์ ที่บ้านออกดอกเซทที่สองแล้วหลังจากตัดไปใส่แจกันมาแล้วครั้งนึง รอบนี้สีสวยกว่ารอบแรกเสียอีก รอบแรกสีจะออกซีดๆครีมๆ ฟ้าหน่อยๆ แต่รอบนี้มีสีฟ้าเข้ม ฟ้าอ่อน ม่วงครามด้วย ดอกโตๆ อีกต่างหาก แต่ต้นไฮเดรนเยียร์ เนี่ย สูบน้ำเก่งมากๆ เป็นเพราะฝนตกติดกัน สามสี่วันหรอกนะเนี่ย มันถึงได้ ออกดอกงามขนาดนี้

จำได้ตอนย้ายบ้านเข้ามาใหม่ๆ ต้นนี้มีแต่กิ่งชี้ไปชี้มา เหมือนตายแล้ว แต่เพื่อนบอกว่า เดี่ยวพอปลาย Spring เริ่มเข้า Summer มันจะฟื้นคืนชีพออกดอก แล้วก็เป็นอย่างนั้นจริงๆด้วย แบบว่ากอล์ฟไม่เคยปลูกต้นไม้เองเลย พอมาเห็นแบบนี้แล้ว ตื่นเต้นๆ

ต้นไฮเดรนเยียร์ มีหลายสี เคยอ่านเขาบอกว่ากรดในดินเป็นตัวกำหนดสีของดอก แต่ก็อยู่ที่พันธุ์ด้วย ดอกพวกนี้ตัดมาใส่รวมกันในแจกันเตี้ยๆ ก็เก๋ไปอีกแบบนะ

I’ve been collecting cacti for a couple months now. I’m very happy with them. They are low maintenance and producing beautiful flowers. Some of my friends don’t believe that a cactus can produce a flower.

In the past, Thai people had little to none knowledge about the cactus. We have seen only a few species of cactus. We always think that cacti are ugly and so not interesting. The common characteristics of cactus which most Thai people have in their mind are living in dessert, standing tall with a lot of spikes, ugly looking, representing the droughtiness and uncivilization, etc. Those are misconception. Theere are like millions of scpecies with different looks.

I found cacti very interesting. it’s fun to watch them flower. Those flowers have scents too! And, now some of them are blooming!
