Road Trip with Nikon D5000
Finally, I had a chance to bring my Nikon D5000 with me to the Salt Lake – Las Vegas trip. I could have used it more, but it was a bit too big to carry around. Plus, I still needed at least 5-10 minutes to adjust the lighting. So, I was still too slow. Luckily, I also brought my compact Sony N-1 with me. It worked well for me when carrying two cameras.. hahaha. Let’s take a look some of my work. Click the image to view full size and hit Backspace on your keyboard to come back to this page.
Jaebeom Left 2PM
A HOT MESS!! …. It’s been confirmed that Jaebeom, the leader of 2PM, has quit and left 2PM due to his MySpace controversy on Sept. 5th. He wrote some of his comments about Korea and K-Pop 4 years ago and now it comes back and bites him badly. He has released applogy statement, but it seems like Korean fans/netizen are still mad and pressure him to quit. And… he did it … he left Korea yesterday (Sep. 8th) according to this petition http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/jaypark2pm
Wow…everything is happening so quickly…
Jaebeom posted:
“Hello, I’m 2PM’s Jaebeom.
I’m sorry for giving you my last greeting through this letter.
I think it will be hard for me to see you all on stage because of my sorry heart.
I’m really sorry to everyone, and I’m even more sorry to the fans who have shown me love.
From today, I will leave 2PM.
2PM boys, I’m really sorry to the boys and I’m sorry I couldn’t be strong as a leader and a hyung and have to leave like this.
However, I hope you will be more cool and charming.
Again, I’m sorry.
Jaebeom”

Monopoly Game Board with Google Maps
Monopoly City Streets was developed by the Hasbro’s UK agency, Tribal DDB, with a little bit of help from Google. The game will be available in English, Spanish, German, French, and Dutch. Toymaker Hasbro is preparing to launch a world-encompassing live version of Monopoly using Google Maps as its game board.
The game’s official site dubs the stunt a “world of property empire building on an unimaginable scale” — and it will use something a bit different from the traditional Monopoly rule set.

Using Google Maps data as the backdrop, players start with $3 million Monopoly dollars to “purchase” actual streets and build up property nearly anywhere they wish in the world. Each street is only available for purchase by one player and can be traded or hoarded in the pursuit of real estate domination. Players earn rent each day based on the property they own, and chance cards offer the ability to make bonus buildings like parks, schools, and wind farms or even put hazards on other people’s properties to sabotage their rent value.

Road Trip to Las Vegas
The trip to Salt Lake has been good so far. The flights were all on time. Bags came with through quickly and weren’t lost – thanks god!
Today P-Ore’s friend, P-Bird, drove us to Las Vegas from Ogden. We took our time which was nice and relax. We watched movies in the car. That was cool! And then we arrived Las Vegas around 3PM. We are staying at Monte Carlo – awesome hotel on the major road, known as Strip rd. I believe.
Anyway, so far I have such a good time!! Can’t wait to go out tomorrow!
Magnetoencephalography (MEG)
Oh my god..look at this word “Magnetoencephalography.” I thought my last name was the longest word in the world, but NO! It’s incomparable!
I was reading an article about how games change your brain. One of the equipment that the researcher, Richard Heirs, was trying to conduct the experiment in the future was called, Magnetoencephalography or MEG. What a mouthful word! This equipment monitors the faint magnetic fields produced by the brain’s electrical activity. Haier thinks MEG scans could reveal how the parts of the brain that become more efficient interact with the parts that develop thicker tissue.
Anyway, the article mentioned about the previous research studies conducted back in 1992 by neuroscientist Haier at the University of California at Irvine, who looked at how frequent sessions with the Tetris video game changed the players’ brains. The “Tetris effect” illustrated how video-game training could make brains work more efficiently.

Yess.. Tetris is one of my favorite puzzle games of all time!

Mini N97 Has Been Announced
Nokia has announced the N97 mini, a slightly smaller version of the existing N97. The smaller size comes at a price. The mini will have a shorter battery life than its big brother, and a smaller memory: only 8GB instead of 32GB. The display is also smaller, 3.2 inches instead of 3.5 inches, but the resolution is still 640×360 pixels. The N97 mini will ship in October
