ABC News has reported that the American Heart Association (AHA) wants the average American to cut down sugar. Under new recommendations the AHA advises women eat no more than about six teaspoons every day in added sugars and men eat no more than 10 teaspoons

Despite those arrays of pink, blue and yellow packets of sugar substitutes, the average American eats 19 percent more sugar today than in 1970. If Americans followed the guidelines, the average person would cut their added sugar consumption by more than 70 percent.

Bomber Worms

by

Karen Osborn, from the University of California San Diego, told BBC News that she and her colleagues found the worms accidentally, whilst exploring the deep oceans with remotely operated submersible vehicles. The team found them whilst exploring the waters just above the sea-bed off the west coast of the US. They were exploring depths of up to 3,700m when they spotted the creatures.

The interesting parts of the discovery were that each of the seven species was transparent, produced colourful bioluminescence, and released the glowing bombs, which probably serve to distract predators while the worm escapes. The team has named the first of these species Swima bombiviridis.

Watch out, bloggers!

by

Those nasty bloggers and the Internet users who like to post offensive and nasty comments online need to be more careful. They could be unmasked easily and pressed charges.

According to the recent Liskula Cohan’s lawsuit case in NYC, the judge ordered Google company to reveal the blogger’s name who attacked Liskula, a model (Vogue cover girl) working in NYC, with nasty comments and rumors. At first, she has contacted Google for assistance to unmask the blogger, but Google denied revealing the blogger’s real name. Cohan filed a lawsuit against Google. Jury ended up ordering Google to provide Cohan with the IP address and the blogger’s profile from Blogger.com.

For those who think they can write anything underneath user-names or anonymous users, they need to wake up and pay more attention. Yes.. you have rights to write anything, but it does not mean that you can harass somebody because of that. I guess the judge and jury realized that written words should be as substantial as spoken words are. Harassing someone by writing a blog should be punished as same as harassing someone with spoken words. Expressing your thoughts and ideas on your blog is different story from writing trash about somebody and share it online!!
