I ran across a cool and interesting story about a couple who has the same name (Kelly Hildebrandt) and is going to marry each other in this October.

 

 

They both found each other on Facebook. Kelly the girl started searching her own name on Facebook and found one who lived in Texas. She started the conversation by sending a quick Hi message to Kelly the guy. That’s when the connection has started.!

Tianzi Hotel in the Chinese province of Hebei use Fu Lu Shou to decorate the whole 10-story building which holds the world record for the “biggest image building”.

 

 

For those who don’t know what Fu Lu Shou are, here is a brief explanation from WiKi. I have seen them all my life. It’s pretty common to have them in our house. Fu Lu Shou refers to the concept of Good Fortune (Fu), Prosperity (Lu), and Longevity (Shou). This Taoist concept is thought to date back to the Ming Dynasty.

Daily Tech reported that NASA study showed how Arctic sea ice thinned between the winters of 2004 and 2008. According to the satellite measurements, the ice has been thinning at a rate of 7 inches per year for a total of 2.2 feet in the last year.  Multi-year ice, meanwhile, shrunk by 42 percent.  Ice cover, meanwhile decreased 595,000 square miles (nearly the size of Alaska’s land area!!)

 

 

The new study is much more accurate than previous studies that estimated ice volume based on area.  The team says a combination of recent global warming and anomalies in patterns of sea ice circulation are to blame for the melting sea ice.

 

So.. please raise awareness of global warming!!

Sony has just announced that they are going to release a new line of Netbook, called Vaio W.

 

 

The Sony Vaio W is a 10.1-inch Netbook, with an Intel Atom N280 CPU, 1GB of RAM, Windows XP, and a 160GB hard drive–all fairly common specs for the category. But many laptops with similar specs run $299-$399, while Sony says the Vaio W “will retail for about $500.”

 

 

You know.. Sony always sells stuff higher price than others because they believed that their product quality is higher than others. the Vaio W packs in a higher-resolution screen at 1,366×768. There’s also 802.11n Wi-Fi, a separate Memory Stick slot (on top of the standard SD card slot), Bluetooth, and Sony’s typical fit and finish, which usually includes excellent keyboards and touchpads. The Vaio W is 1.3 inches thick, weighs 2.6 pounds, and will come in three colors–berry pink, sugar white, and cocoa brown.

 

 

The system is available for pre-order from Sony starting Tuesday, and should be arriving in retail stores sometime next month.

For those who don’t know Ashley Tisdale, she is one of rising Disney stars. You will see her in Suite Life sitcom and The High School Musical movie. She’s just released her new single called “Don’t Touch.” And if  you happen to know Tata Young, you will wonder why Ashley’s new song is the same as Tata Young’s Zoom (two years ago). Ashley is doing a cover version of Zoom. Which version do you like better? Of course, for me, Tata Young is the best! Can’t wait to listen to Tata’s new album!!
