Skype offers 25% off discount when you sign up a 12-month subscription for the unlimited country plan. This is a great deal. Normally, Skype will charge you 5.95 per month for this plan and 12.95 for the Unlimited World. There is a small difference between the Unlimited Country and Unlimited World. For the Unlimited Country plan  you will have to select only one country for the unlimited call. If you have the Unlimited World, you can have unlimited call to any country (that Skype offers a service).

 

For some countries, Skype allows you to make a phone call to a cell phone with no additional charge. So, you can either call a land-line or cell phone from either Unlimited World or Unlimited Country plan. However, only Unlimited Country subscription that is on SALE now. It ends TODAY!!

 

Especially, it works out great for me because I call Thailand a lot. Now, Skype offers unlimited calls for both land-lines and cell phones for Thailand. The quality of service is way better than my phonecard purchased from BanKhaNom Thai.

 

Skype even adds couple bonuses. You can get a Skype ToGo number which allows you to make a local phone call to connect to the Skype Hub/Sever before connecting to the destination. But, of course you will lose your air time if you use your cellphone to make a phone call. I have been playing around with Sketch Up software developed by Google company for a while. Although I’m not like an expert on it yet, I think it’s pretty convenient for users to develop something in 3D. I used Sketch Up to draw a layout of floor plan in order to help me develop a better vision to make a decision where each furniture should be placed. It is not as hard as you think. You should try it. On top of that, it’s a FREE software.

 

Pictures below are examples of what I did in Sketch Up. There is a feature which allows you to download free 3D models from Google 3D search engine. I’m trying to sketch to get an idea of my bedroom layout. Since I don’t have much time to design my own furniture, I decide to download everything and put into the room. The furniture style and color might not cohesive, but at least it gives me an idea where to put my bed, closets, desks, chairs, etc. It took me about 1.5 hour to complete everything from scratch.Click image to enlarge.
